Thank you for supporting the 25th Annual American Cancer Society Shave To Save event presented by The University of Kansas Cancer Center! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Shavees, event attendees, sponsors, Planning Committee and Board of Ambassadors for their time and effort.
This year’s event raised an all-time high of $562,000 for the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge Kansas City. With your support, you are helping Hope Lodge provide a ‘home away from home’ for those traveling to Kansas City for life-saving cancer treatment!
For the past 25 years, Shave To Save has rallied shavees, sponsors, donors, and guests to raise over $4.5 million for the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Kansas City. The event will feature over 20 community and corporate leaders committed to raising $7,500 and shaving their heads (or beards) on stage as a symbol of unity for all Hope Lodge guests. Proceeds from Shave To Save ensure Hope Lodge continues to offer free overnight lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers when traveling to Kansas City for lifesaving treatment.
All funds raised through Shave To Save directly support Hope Lodge Kansas City, which provides free lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers traveling for treatment.
